Hey guys! We’ve got some new things up on the page that I wanted to bring to your attention.

  • Put some info about the game and clarified some things in the guidelines page. Please go read it?
  • Brought the players page to near perfection.
  • Added all of our current characters to the character…

I was wondering if I could make a new blog for my character? I’ve been having trouble with this one and therefore I’m not able to participate as well as I should. It would be the same URL and everything, though.

{OOC: Just going to make this later than the other threads because you can’t fence with a hangover.}

The first Saturday of term had arrived. The first day of classes had gone by without a hitch, and it seemed the whole campus had sacrificed a good Tuesday for the Pendragon/Le Fayette welcome back party. Wednesday had held an interesting sorority meeting with Gwen and Morgause, and the last two days of the week had been spent getting used to the studio dance floor once more. But Saturday morning was fencing morning, as it had always been for Morgana. The mentor was working with a few freshman on the other side of the long room, and he knew that if Morgana needed him, she would call. Morgana had won a regional championship for the school last year and she tried not to notice the few freshmen looking at her warming up in awe. Indeed, she was only waiting for the only person that could really challenge her anymore, Elyan, to show up.

On weekdays, Elyan wasn’t always terribly busy, but his schedule unpredictable; fencing was his constant.

Elyan walked in and noticed Morgana warming up. ‘Wow,’ he thought, watching her. ‘She looks really good. In the strong, athletic sense, I mean.’ He carried his equipment over his shoulder and began across the room to her. “So,” he said to her. “Ready for a challenge?” Elyan grinned teasingly.

Morgana grinned when she heard Elyan approaching. She had been trying to focus on her footwork instead of the people observing her across the room, and she turned immediately at his voice, a daring smile in place. “Always,” she grinned in return. “Let’s give our audience something to talk about,” she laughed, swishing the saber into an x before lowering her arm and taking her place. The mentor on the other side laughed at her comment as the few students tried to look like they were busy themselves.

Elyan grinned once more. He set his bag down and began rummaging through it to prepare himself for the match. Once he had put on all his protective clothing, he too swung his saber and took his place, ready for a fight. He cocked his head to the side and replied “Oh, we will.”

Morgana smirked and the match commenced. They were very evenly matched, of course, dancing to and away from each other lightly on their feet but with obvious strength and sureness in their arms. Morgana had been disappointed last year when Elyan couldn’t make it to the competition she had won. Didn’t feel like winning if she didn’t beat him. “Been practicing?” she asked, a little short of breath.

“Yeah, I’ve worked hard,” Elyan replied, equally as short of breath as she was. “You’re not bad yourself.”

After telling pretty much every person on campus two times each about Arthur’s special party, Elyan finally could walk through the doors.

He had arrived at a good time, he thought. Not too many people, but just enough to avoid any awkward pre-crowd silence and small talk. Elyan spotted Arthur beginning a conversation with Morgause. Instead of walking to them, however, he diverted his gaze to the drink table and proceeded toward it. As more people began to come in, Elyan searched over them for any familiar faces. He got some alcohol for himself and began to wait for some more of his friends or teammates.

Leon noticed Elyan over by the drinks and decided to go over and say hello to his teammate. He hadn’t had a chance to talk to him too much after their first practice today, and he wanted to ask him about his summer.

“Alright, mate?” he asked, cheery, and held out his hand to him.

((OOC: I’m having way too much trouble with tumblr tonight. I keep deleting stuff by accident. GAAAAHH.))

Elyan took his friend’s hand casually and shook it. “Hi. Doing great. And you?” He took another sip from his cup and gestured to the table beside him. “You should get some before the whole campus population comes in.” He raised an eyebrow at Leon and drank in some more.

(OOC: SHOW TUMBLR WHO’S BOSS. >:|)

“Yeah, really. Don’t want the freshman drinking it all,” Leon laughed, grabbing a drink for himself.

“I’m not too bad. How was your summer?”

“It was good,” Elyan answered. “I swam a lot, but other than that, I stayed indoors most of the time.” He finished his drink and began to pour himself some more.
